Brian ÓMy state has a law coming into effect July 1 that prohibits throwing food in the garbage. You either have to take it to a composting facility, or compost it at home (in which case you're allowed to throw out meats and dairy). We have a 55 gallon tumbler and a worm bin, but there's nowhere near enough capacity for the amount we produce. I grabbed a stack of free pallets from the hardware store and slapped this together today, out by the garbage bins. I'll have to put together another one to stage the compost in, but this will get us started.
