Tom@maiki I think it's an error common to FS advocates to assume that there is a single spectrum which happens to correspond to FS vs proprietary. IMO things like usability, effectiveness at meeting users' actual desires, security, privacy, free speech, etc. are not actually well correlated with FS vs proprietary. We push away sensible people because they simply don't recognise a single spectrum. Unless you start with FS morality as a basis for the mental model then it doesn't really work.
