      https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/AMBARI/Installation+Guide+for+Ambari+2.7.5 was updated in December. It isn't a completely dead project. I saw in a video that there was a click-button to connect #Kafka to #Hadoop, so I thought I would check it out. We support Kafka and Hadoop, but not #Ambari. We were asked to, but declined.
      
      Hadoop is not really a priority these days, but Kafka is.
      
      The entire time I have been typing this, maven has been pulling down dependencies...

         hmm, well, maybe I can attribute these issues to them not officially supporting 20.04.

         I guess it was in that admin view, but it seems like every npm module this thing uses is deprecated. No wonder we don't support it.

      ugh. I only have CentOS 8 and ubuntu 20.04 machines other than machines I don't want to mess with, so I guess I will spin something else up.

            luckily, was able to add one on the fly using #ovirt
