          There was a gas station that also had brown pants/tan shirt that I worked at in that time...
          Not bad in spring/summer/fall but the wind would go right through in winter and yes, these were the days that people didn't pump their own gas.

            I think they still don't in Oregon. I know the last I was there that was the case, though that's been ages ago.

              @musicman And New Jersey. When I was in #NJ several years ago, you couldn't pump your own gas.

                The only difference I can recall is in remote areas of Oregon you can (and may have to) pump your own gas but in the more populated areas someone still has to do it. There was an exception in place but I think it has expired as I have not seen anything more about it.

                I don't remember that in NJ. How long ago were you there? It's been less than a decade since I have driven through...though I can't remember if I stopped to get gas.

                  @musicman I spent a few months there in 2007. I think their legislature was discussing a repeal within the past five years.
