@sl Again? Didn't they just have an outage in the past week?

Why are all the corps moving to O365 if it is unreliable? (I know, PHBs and CIOs have a reflex that makes them buy any product of service that Microsoft offers.)

Sub contracting. That's what I was taught when I did my training years ago. Sub contract everything because it costs less.....short term speaking. There are loads of variables about this and sub-contracting only leads to disaster when it's done at big scales, especially when everyone goes to the SAME subcontractor.

      >if it is unreliable?
Because they believe it's reliable. Users only care about how the interface changes, not about how it's basically works.

@mangeurdenuage @sl I guarantee you, someone high up in $EMPLOYER called someone in HQ-IT management today and asked why Microsoft's services are falling over so often when the previous internally-hosted services were a lot more reliable.

It's like the way a big chunk of web sites go down every time there's a power outage in Northern Virginia (because that's where Amazon's US-East region is hosted). People notice it. Decision-makers just don't seem to care.

          Money then ?
Maybe some direct snooping on the decision-makers by the employee wouldn't do bad to know why.
