    I agree and disagree with this interpretation.
    Thing is that human cycle is just redundancy of human life which exist in most known lifeforms.

    The social aspect of how cultures behave in cycles is not completely incorrect. But the reasons for it are simple, violent communication creates only more violence, it simply alienates people into going to the opposite of what people are violently told. Cycles have little to do with anything of this.

    So while the metaphor of the pendulum is correct for how violent people behave with each other it is not to be seen as a fatalism because it boils down to how we behave with each other.
