Brian ÓI found this cluster of what I'm pretty certain is shaggy mane (Coprinus comatus) growing on the side of a gravel road. I picked on the smaller ones and took some tissue samples to see if I can cultivate it, as they are edible. I kept the remainder sitting out. If it is indeed C. comatus it should dissolve into a black goo by tomorrow, which should confirm the ID pretty well.
