         @musicman I think they're starting to have compliance issues everywhere, so they're trying to find less-restrictive ways to slow down the spread.

               @musicman We cancelled our family's Thanksgiving celebration months ago, but a number of #SoCal counties saw huge spikes caused by Labor Day barbecues. People are just tired of not being around their friends and families.
               
               I am glad that Governor Newsom issued these guidelines, because even if it wouldn't prevent as many infections as just staying home would do, if people follow the guidelines, the impact will be less than if they return to their old ways.

                  Also, spending several days with my 1.5 year old grandson last month really improved the way I feel. I can now understand why some people are going to have family gatherings regardless of the rules. (I'm not counting #anti-maskers and "COVID is fake" people.)
                  
                  I wouldn't have it myself, but I can understand.
