      so, I thought, well, it says up-to $4000, but well, starts at $3500: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/holoLens-2/91pnzzznzwcp/?activetab=pivot%3aoverviewtab

      All of the good ones are a few hundred dollars. I just feel like I wouldn't use it enough to justify that.

      I was thinking like $300.

      Oculus seems to get pretty close, but I don't want to Zuck money.

      I'm not sure I'd ever use a 3D headset. Just a few minutes of 3D on the #3DS and I turned that completely off.

      Maybe I'll change my mind when I can get to KC and try the 3D lightsaber game that #sonOne and #GD1 play.

        @lnxw48a1 @musicman Beat Saber's great, yeah!

        I don't really see 3D screens as being the same thing as VR, though. VR definitely can make one sick, but that's more often games where you move a character with the controller. Games that stay in one spot or track your real life movement (like Beat Saber) rarely give VR sickness.

          yeah, 3D is definitely different than VR.

          I am thinking more for meetings, but until there's an #opensource VR headset our customers are asking us to support, I can't see us being able to convince management to get those.

          I was thinking, very specifically, about family gatherings.

          The https://spatial.io/ terms are lame, but it's a good idea.

          Last year, one of the Perforce Christmas gift options was a VR headset. I got it and sold it above MSRP due to the demand. I don't regret that decision. Idk, maybe I should look into the Samsung and Acer.

          Or maybe I should just get over it and get an Occulus. The price point is ridiculous in comparison. I don't generally mind paying a premium, but if I'm going to be getting these for everyone in the family,
