    @seanl Cross-posting is a nice idea, but there are some weird rough edges with UX when it comes to formatting content.

    If it originates from a site with a limited character count, it's somewhat noticeable - your statuses will seem unusually short. If you're sending from a long-form site to a short-form one, the problem is even worse, resulting in truncation and links.

    There isn't exactly a good way for content to gracefully degrade between services based on built-in limitations.

      @seanl Something I wanted to experiment with involved a blogging/publication app that plugs into different networks, and formats content based on network type.

      In other words, Tweets are formatted to emphasize a blurb and a picture, whereas longer-form networks like Facebook might include a longer excerpt.
