Looks like #pump.io will be having a release soon. They're merging in security patches for dependencies and replacing #node.js 13 with 14.

Evan is unable to attend today, so Alex chairing the meeting, despite it being the last day of the semester and having exams and essays due.

The databank library they use as a database interface seems to have its source code lost. They're hoping to find a current copy. Otherwise, they may need to fork from the (older) version they have and update its dependencies.

Now discussing changes needed to switch to #ActivityPub instead of their #Pump.io protocol (an ancestor of AP).

They're sending patches upstream so that they can support "JSON ActivityStreams 2.0":{https://activitystrea.ms/} needed for AP support.

It looks like Datamost.com is currently the only open-registration public server left. Most of the "nastynames" Pump.io instances are long gone and many of their domains have been absorbed by squatters or scammers. (Example: pumpit dot info)

They're using ReadTheDocs for their documentation site, having to make sure all active devs have access.
Important because both the pump.io site itself and the doc site still have references to long-dead instances and related sites such as openfarmgame dot com and pumpit dot info / hotpump dot net. They've got to do some updates / edits.
