installing #rabbitmq
-
I'm just going to start tagging this to all of my posts a few hours after I post them, lol:
Like most things in the #SARS-CoV-2 era, it's a long story...

I guess the two main choices are #RabbitMQ or #ActiveMQ. You're looking for something that does #AMQP or are you doing #MQTT?
-
customer is doing Rabbit. Idk enough about their use case yet to say for certain, but I have a feeling #ApacheKafka might have been a better choice for them.

I guess the shortest version of the issue is this: customer wants more cpu to be used. HOWEVER, unclear if there is actually an issue...like, is it too slow, dropping messages...idk. They were hitting a very clear RAM issue, but that has since been resolved.

This is going well, lol. They don't seem to have a test server.
-
@musicman No test server. Hmm. They must be one of the contractors that develops and runs sites for $EMPLOYER. That seems to to be the contractors’ modus operandi.

it's a bank, lol
