Think You Don't Eat Plastic? (Consumer Reports, 2020-JUN, pp 26-35)
1. Tap water instead of bottled water
2. Heat food on the stove or by microwaving in glass
3. Buy & store food in non-plastic containers instead of plastic ones
4. Eat fresh food instead of processed food, which is often wrapped in plastic
5. Vacuum regularly; don't allow dust to accumulate; some dust may contain microplastic particles.
6. Work with your community to reduce and restrict use of plastics; do not limit your effort to your own life.
I like most of these ideas, but I don't have the room or the facilities to slaughter my own cows. Even buying raw vegetables often involves plastic bags and packaging. The tap water here isn't good-tasting, so I use a (plastic) filter and jug to make it tolerable.

you could probably use a metal filter. It's something I hadn't thought about until now.

@musicman Right now, I have a Brita filtering pitcher (plastic). I'll start the search for a replacement soon.
