   so, I was asked not to say anything about this, but I think here is fine (rather than facebook, LinkedIn, twitter or in our company slack). I got a raise! Not everyone did, which is why I was asked to keep quiet.
   
   Some of our product lines missed targets, but when the US Economy was down overall, the fact that we made money is to be celebrated.

      @lnxw48a1 I haven't heard any mention of my team getting a new US-based position. There was talk of hiring in India for timezone purposes but I do wonder if when that job does finally come out if it will have the option for US hires as well.
      
      I mentioned this before, but new manager on the team since you last applied.
      
      The old manager was (is, I guess, he moved to marketing) a shoot-from-the-hip kind of guy. I think he saw .NET and that was 27 outs. game over.
      
      That said, who knows what would have happened if no pandemic. That job never opened up after the hiring freeze.
      
      In any case, I have built up a lot of rapport with the new manager, and I think he'll take my suggestion seriously (another thing we didn't have the first time around since I was new to the team).
