looking @ extended weather forecast, I have possibly 2 weeks to get this lake KOM. Most likely, I will have at least 1 more attempt after those two weeks. It's not like the ice goes poof once we hit 40F.

Nonetheless, I am asking...what's best way to increase 4 minute power in 2 weeks?

I think the North Central / Great Lakes region is supposed to be colder than average for the next week or two. Not sure about precipitation.

I don't know about increasing your 4 minute power

extended forecast says 43F on the 27th. Even though the lake will still be frozen, it'll be sloppy on top at those temps. The only days I have time to try are on weekend. I could possibly get down there and back on a Monday, but I don't need to gas it down there before attempting to take the record.

Saturdays are good days because I will be fresher on Saturday than on Sunday. That said, current prediction is wind from the north on the 20th and wind from the south on the 21st, so if that holds I should wait until the 21st.

      As for the extended forecast:
      42F on 6th of March
      41F on 13...
      43F on 20...

now, I don't trust the temps even for Feb 20th, but that Feb 20 weekend might be my best last attempt.
