I remember getting a Cox dune buggy. After struggling with it for days, I asked one of the neighbor kids for help. Together, we got it to run twice, for about 30 seconds each. After that, it never ran again.
One of my brothers got the Cox airplane. The neighbor got it to fly once, but it never flew again after that.
I don't even know if the company is still around, but that left a negative feeling ... even though there were a couple of families on my street who had them working.

I don't remember what kind of fuel they used. Probably not gasoline, but there was some kind of fuel.

What they ran for fuel was a mixture of Methanol, nitromethane, castor oil and Klotz oil.
