    What is #Apache #Hadoop? https://cloud.google.com/learn/what-is-hadoop

A short, very general overview. Mentions HDFS, YARN, MapReduce, and Hadoop Common as primary modules in Hadoop. Finishes up by talking about Google data analytics products.

Databricks blog: It’s Time to Re-evaluate Your Relationship With #Hadoop

      https://databricks.com/blog/2021/03/25/its-time-to-re-evaluate-your-relationship-with-hadoop.html

In 2019 Google stopped using #MapReduce, which it helped popularize ( see https://research.google/pubs/pub62/ ), and Apache retired ten Hadoop related projects this year.

NOTE: The article does try to sell big data users on their “lakehouse” cloud platform. As always when someone’s wallet can increase if you follow their advice, think carefully before accepting what they say.
