Updates today on the work equipment and my iPad.
First, iOS 14.6 is out, so I updated the iDevice ( iPhone ).
Next, I logged into the laptop, using the iPhone as a hotspot. Two updates that did not install last week were waiting, so they installed.
Turned to my personal iPad and updated it to iPadOS 14.6.
Turned back to the laptop and there were more updates to install.

I think both Debian-Ubuntu family and Red Hat family of Linux operating systems could teach Microsoft a thing or two. Instead of dribbling updates and taking all day, say "we have 33 updates to install" and let me get it over with all at once.

They might already be doing something like that. Tuesday morning I had to do a fresh install of 10.
Grabbed the media creator, installed and had one round of updates then it said all done. Started at 5 AM and was done (with the base OS) by 6-ish AM.
I have gone on to install other software and I have had updates since but they are for other things, new hardware/etc.
This was a first and I was surprised the USB image was that close to current.

Still going, but to be fair, between each update's installation there is a long "Waiting to install" pause. I tend to reboot during these pauses, so that there is no excuse not to install the next update fairly soon after.
