    Two memorable SEGA Genesis soundtracks

I've never owned any SEGA console, and yet the two 90's console video game soundtracks I keep coming back to 30 years later both from the SEGA Genesis/Megadrive. The first one is from the game Streets of Rage (1991) I used to play at a friend's. Composed by Yuzo Koshiro, it has been made available in 2020 to stream/buy from most music platforms.

The other, in a different genre that still turns into my head 3 decades on, is the soundtrack from Gunstar Heroes (1993) that I got to play at the supermarket in the electronics aisle. Composed by NON aka Norio Hanzawa, it is less available legally, but I recently stumbled on a cover album by Californian artist Monte that really honors the original tunes as they were playing on the SEGA Genesis' Yamaha YM2612 sound chip. monteontherun.bandcamp.com/alb…
