This decision is as absurd as the rule it was predicated on that doesn't allow political symbols on the field: Something doesn't stop to be political because it would be "for a good cause". This variably enforced rule should be rescinded.

  Oh now the rainbow flag is inconveniently political. It didn't even take a full day for the UEFA to enforce the "no politics rule" differently.

    MUNICH (AP) — German soccer clubs are banding together to display rainbow colors during the country’s match against Hungary at the European Championship after UEFA rejected host city Munich’s plan to do the same.
