@lxo @clacke As far as I am aware, all spiders eat meat (mostly insects). -

Doesn't sound very vegetarian to me: "While the jumping spider sometimes eats insects or larvae, plants comprise the bulk of its diet."

what point would there be for vegan spiders to excrete silk? if they did, after only eating plants, would that make the silk plant-based? In conversation from gnusocial.net permalink
