   Had a rough day today. Hotel had screwed up my bill, and I was going to have to pay thousands of dollars that I don't have and then hope the agency reimbursement covered it weeks later. I probably sent more e-mails and made more phone calls today than I have in a long while, including some pleading and tears.
   
   In the end, the travel agency and the hotel fixed everything about ninety minutes before my twelve hour shift ended.
   
   Organizational bureaucracies get some policy in their minds and do not care who gets crushed in the gears. And it gets even worse when there are multiple different bureaucracies that can each point at one another as the problem's source and potential solution-bringer.
   
   Some days I think I want to buy a little food truck and set up along a highway just outside town.

      Having talked to a couple of food truck owners, they have bureaucratic issues too.
