the colorful one has the wings more clearly recognizable, and I find it prettier, though the eyes are harder to figure out in it
I wonder if combining features from both could make both wings and eyes clearest. like, using slightly narrower versions of the monochrome eyes as feathers, but keeping the overarching wing structure from the colored one?
I find the top pair of wings disturbingly aimless in their flapping. it feels like they should somehow be moving up and down rather than in sideways movements that cancel out each other
