    I'm pretty sure that if someone fails to make a point, that doesn't offer any evidence whatsoever that a different point holds, unless the other point is that the person can't make the point.

    e.g., if I fail to convince you that 2+2=4, or even that 2+2=5, that doesn't prove that 2+2=6. suggesting that it does is fallacious at best
