   I remember reading something about a US spy agency testing toxic compounds or infectious diseases by releasing them in the public transit sustems of major cities. I'm not going to enter that in a search box, but it was a real article.

      I remember the same and will also not search this.
      If my memory is working correctly, it was late 60's to mid 70's range?
