Brian ÓI just finished watching the final episode of The Expanse. I wasn't super happy with this season in general, because 6 reduced length episodes was just too constraining to tell the story properly, but damn that last episode was good. A lot of shows go out with a whimper (or even a WTF?) so I'm thankful they at least wrapped it up with class.
Given how rushed the season was, though, I'm still left a little confused why they devoted so much time to the "Strange Dogs" mini-storyline (Cara and Xan on Laconia). As a book reader I know where it's going, but from the show's perspective it's just kind of a weird non-sequitur. Maybe they have secret plans to adapt the last three books on another platform, but that's my fanboy optimism talking. My inner cynic wonders if it was to leave people frustrated so they'll go buy the books 😃
