      I have had more issues trying to get these kind of things running than anything else. I have even gone the get the code and compile it to avoid these.

      It kind of reminds me of the old dos days where every app/program you installed had all of its own libs and anything else needed to run in the install, except the base OS.

        The other thing that concerns me about these systems is when some library ( #log4j for example ) has a security vulnerability. If your software is locked up inside of these containers, that means each one will need to publish an update and get you to download it when it could all be updated at once with your system updater.
