    @hj I really like how the gameplay loop ties in to the main theme of the game (connections, as you mention, and how they make life easier). The game at first forces you through areas alone, it's super tedious, you move slowly, you're super careful. Then the more you interact with and help others, the more infrastructure in the region starts appearing and helping you out, making everything easier and more fun. And you start taking more time building out infrastructure in areas you don't have to stay in to progress, just to help out and participate.

      @hj I didn't even know until looking it up now that the likes even did anything for the gameplay, I thought it was just to reinforce that people's gratitude is reward in itself. IMO they should have done nothing.
