@triodug I don't really follow the current trends, but a couple of years ago they were all about "we need to make socially conscious humor!"

It's infuriating to me; being a comedian doesn't make someone better informed or a better judge of social issues than being a car mechanic. But what really rattles me is seeing with my friends how it actually works on them. Hollywood stars pushing their pet issues doesn't really, but comedians making a joke about it somehow slips past many people's defenses.
