I’ve seen someone arguing that the COVID relief checks had allowed plenty of people to buy more food than usual, but the supply didn’t expand as fast, which contributed to the rise in price. You won't be shocked that the suggested solution was to throw back poor people to food insecurity to stabilize food prices instead of stimulating the supply.
