I used to use a certain newspaper's site to do pay searches. If you worked for the US government, that site had your official pay scale (lagging about 18 months). Despite $EMPLOYER's effort to keep us from knowing who makes how much, I knew.

That info is now behind a paywall (and not a standard JS-based paywall that can be evaded by turning off #JavaScript).
