I know it's not impossible to have furniture shipped without damage. I got last week a desk off Amazon, quite cheap for the size, heavier than the IKEA coffee table, from a dodgy chinese brand. It arrived next day for free* (free with my Prime subscription), in perfect condition.

Honestly, I don't want to like shopping at Amazon. But their logistics are so far ahead of everyone else, it's embarassing. I'm not comparing them to a small local shop here, I'm comparing them to another massive global company.
