   Now, #sonTwo and I are watching Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker.
   
   The #Star_Wars series of movies has been a long term favorite for us.

      So Emperor Palpatine returns, with no explanation of how he survived when we saw him killed at the end of Episode XI: Return of the Jedi.
      
      Kylo Ren goes back to being Ben Skywalker. Rae finds out she's a Palpatine. She and Ben go to a secret planet to confront the Emperor.

         Okay, I liked the movie. But the Palpatine thing bugs me. There may have been signs in Episode VIII: The Last Jedi ... but I do not remember them.
         
         It is one of those "oops, we killed off his character but now we need to bring him back" moments. In a soap opera, the dead emperor would turn out to be the previously unknown identical twin of the real emperor.
