   The official !RasPi account on the official #Raspberry_Pi #Mastodon instance got crossways with a lot of people today. I don't know if it will be enough to make a noticeable dent in the demand for their products, but they have definitely made some former customers consider other #SBCs instead.

      For my part, I still intend to purchase #Raspberry_Pi products, along with most of the other brands that I've purchased in the past.

            This is just the inverse of someone like Kevin Mitnick who went from hacker to working in security. I am quite sure there were people who thought this is the last place he should be.

               @geniusmusing Yep. And if the Raspberry Pi Mastodon account had just acknowledged those views as legitimate and said he changed careers for a reason, they could have defused this for all but the most extreme people.
