   I saw that someone claimed their oven had an update for turkey mode. I cannot imagine connecting an oven to the Internet in the first place, so how would you ever know about an update?

      It might be hard to believe but it is harder to get a "non connected" appliance these days than a connected. Washers, dryers, refrigerators, ovens and even grills want an internet connection and there is always an app for your phone for you to get notifications that it has done something.
