They seem to have forgotten about the current employees getting a pay bump or maybe it is just assumed.
@geniusmusing Thanks. Current $EMPLOYER's pay for field IT is not great in comparison with the world around us, but it is sometimes possible to double or triple one's pay by simply getting a similar job in the Washington DC area (generally as a contractor).
The better-paying tech jobs need to be spread out across the country ... where people who want the jobs live, not just in the national capital region.
