      The EPA has disclosed additional, concerning chemicals released during the train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio
      from EHN
      They include multiple carcinogens and chemicals that are toxic to aquatic life.

      I've heard some rumors being passed around that the list of chemicals found on the site were not fully documented by the railroad. I have not bothered to check. Is the government going to assess appropriate penalties? No, of course not. The railroads are nationally important. They won't risk harming their profits just to do what is right. (Or they would have forced a more worker friendly labor settlement on them recently.)
