One of the guys across the street drives a giant red pickup. Some unknown person was driving down the street, stopped and looked toward the neighbors' stuff. The neighbor said "Can I help you?", and the strabger drove off. In a flash, the neighbor jumped in his truck the way a posse jumps on their horses, and took off after the stranger.

He wasn't gone long, but I was thinking this could easily have become an "on the news" situation.
