    Once per semi-annuus or semi once-per-annuus? Halfyear-ly or half-yearly?

Just get off the Latin high horse and say twice yearly or once every two years to avoid any misunderstanding. 🀣

"biennial" is supposedly unambiguous for once every two years but your readers won't all know that anyway.

@clacke I know that semiannual is once every half year, so if I think of that, then I can figure out that biennial is once every two years. But I agree. There should be no need for such gymnastics.

@LinuxWalt (@lnxw48a1) {3EB165E0-5BB1-45D2-9E7D-93B31821F864} What about biannual? Consensus seems to be that at this point it means both.

And my uneducated guess is that "biannual" is the form used most of the three. πŸ˜ƒ

@clacke I've honestly never seen 'biannual' except in situations where it was clear they meant to say / write 'biennial'. I do not think it is commonly used.

But I can agree that it could be used for both meanings.

[0] as nobody thinks "millennial" is a thousand times in a year, maybe it works
