One of my brothers has a friend named Pete. They were friends in high school and they reconnected when there were attending the same college with the same major and working at the same place in the evenings.

In the last 40 years, Pete has attended more family events than I have. When he texts, he talks about the things going on "in our family".

Pete is okay. I like him.
