Currently enjoying Britney Spears's "Toxic" to images of happy girls dancing in parks and sweeping panoramas of churches and buggies with horses.

Kid: Aaaargh, why do all old songs suck, or if they don't suck they're bad???

All 80s and 90s European and American pop songs are either supposedly romantic but unwittingly singing about toxic forms of romance, cynical and sarcastic songs about getting what you can from a drab love scene, or they're openly songs about people hurting from bad romance.
