I don’t ever plan to contact him, but a web search found my old best friend from elementary school. I also found his sister, his mom, his brother, and his sister’s ex-husband (who was very cool 😎; he used to wrestle with us when we were 10-12 years old … he’d been a high school wrestler, so he always won). I did not find his dad, but I assume he is deceased anyway.

When we were in sixth grade, Scott’s dad lost his job. He became angry and violent with his kids, so I visited a lot less often. When we were about 21, I went to their house for dinner. 🍽️ (shark! It was really good.) The dad spent the whole evening apologizing for pounding his kids and for doing so in front of me.
