I don't know if it's the people #ThinkingAboutAncientRome or the people thinking about the people thinking about Ancient Rome that need to hear this, probably some of the people in both groups, but the most popular book about it is titled "The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire" and that says something about whether Ancient Rome should be emulated (first group) and why people might be thinking about it (second group).
