I have a Google account, but not because I wanted one. For nearly 20 years my primary email address, the same one I'm sending this toot from, is provided by my
alma mater's alumni association. When first issued they hosted their own traditional POP3 server, than they moved to a Microsoft Exchange server, and a few years later they transferd to Google Worksapce (or whatever it was called back then). Even with the move to google that account has continud to be availabe via a standard mail client, like Seamonkey. I've never hit the I agree button to the draconian ToS, but yet I have a Y-T account that's associated. Sometimes I find it nice but maybe its not? #SaturdayMorningThoughts
