      @fu As things currently stand, Mr Putin is trying to reassemble the USSR. Thus every former USSR republic is in danger of invasion unless the US and NATO actively oppose it. And by "actively oppose", I mean even to the point of military resistance.
      
      If he also intends to rebuild the Warsaw Pact, all of those nations are also in danger.
      
      I've spent decades opposing militarism, but now I'm starting to recognize that global peace and stability depend on someone being responsible enough to protect it.
