funny. we have published an article entitled "The Fifth Freedom" https://www.fsfla.org/circular/2007-02#1 but it's not about changing the FSD
there's a quality I enjoy about the freedoms as they're traditionally numbered: each bit has a meaning. given freedom n, where 0<=n<=3:
* (n&1)!=0: the freedom involves the possibility of modification, and thus requires source code; the others don't
* (n&2)!=0: the freedom involve community, collective freedom, help others, rather than just individual autonomy
