    For brief periods, yes. Over longer periods of time, no. That's neither normal nor mentally healthy. From the beginning of humanity, people (all of them) had to labor in some capacity in order for themselves and their loved ones to survive. The need to produce is built into us.

    That's not to say that we wouldn't benefit from saying "we can take care of everyone's needs on four hours of labor per day, so that's going to be our new standard" or something similar.
