Last week someone contacted me out of the blue in my #LEGO BrickLink store to offer me money for the design files of the Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) “Bigfoot” vehicle they found a picture of in Google Search.
I was surprised because I only posted about it on here, and my Friendica node isn’t indexed by Google. It turns out Google indexed a copy of my post on a Diaspora server diasp.org/posts/22954129, and through the #LEGO hashtag it contained, found another post by me where I promoted my BrickLink storefront store.bricklink.com/MrPetovan.
Here’s the thing, I can’t find this post anymore on my own Friendica node, which is a little sad and worrying, but I’m glad it lives on in the larger decentralized social media network it is a part of.
I ended up spending a couple of hours cleaning the design and working on the instructions and I sent the result free of charge to the requester which made him happy.
Here it is on my NextCloud server nextcloud.mrpetovan.com/index.… if you’re interested, the ZIP archive includes a Stud.io file and the instructions PDF. It’s loosely based on another MOC that I bought on Rebrickable so I’m not sure I can submit it over there but I can distribute it here.
I didn’t include a separate XML parts list file since the requester didn’t ask for it, please let me know if you’d need it.
