      In other news, tonight Nazis the world over are celebrating the 79th anniversary of the Kristallnacht and the general response is "sure, that's a perfectly reasonable thing to celebrate too".

         @clacke Thanks for the reminder. Though 79 years is a long time, the "those things happened a long time ago" sentiment is unjustified. Right-wing extremists (and left-wing extremists) are still willing to use deception and violence to impose their visions on the world. #clown_world

            @lnxw48a1 It is probably no coincidence that both these events are now over a median life span ago, and people are more willing now than in decades to reenact them.

               They both convince me that revolutions Simply Don't Work.
