The only place to buy beer after the beer distributors closed was in a bar. I once bought two 6 packs of tall boys at a local watering hole. They would only allow me to carry one at a time to my car. Could only carry so many ounces of beer across the threshold at one time. Two sixers of 12 oz bottles was ok. No alcohol sales on Sunday. Had to belong to a "club" (Sons of Italy, Eagles, Elk, etc)
